What People Say About Me
Sometimes you are lucky to come across a person that you immediately realize they have a passion for a sport. Not just a love, but a true respect for the game, its history and its legacy. Coach Linda is that person, she has spent a lifetime learning, playing and coaching a game she loves. Her passion goes far beyond just a game you play as a kid. Her passion is to pass the game she fell in love with to future generations. She doesn’t rely on just history and what she learned growing up. Coach Linda works with some of the best minds in the sport of fastpitch softball to ensure what she passes along gives today’s athletes the best instruction in the game today. It would be hard to find anyone more passionate and well versed in pitching instruction who devotes more time into her students and really cares.

I met Linda Lensch over 30 years ago when my daughter was 11 years old, playing on a town softball league. Because of a short attention span, my girl needed to learn a position that would keep her focused on the game. Linda was recommended to work with her as a softball pitching coach. Linda saw something in this tall, thin, lefty and worked with her to develop not only her pitching, but also the mental attitude she would need in softball and in life. Linda became not only her pitching coach, but her biggest promoter and supporter from that time through high school and college, where she broke the strikeout record and became an All-American.
We traveled with Linda's New Jersey Divas women’s team in summers throughout high school and college, from the East Coast to the West Coast, and seemingly on every softball field in between. We competed against some of the best players in the country, including future Olympians and college All-Americans. With Linda’s encouragement, and excellent mental and physical coaching, most of the girls on the NJ Divas went on to stellar college softball careers. The fact that my daughter is still playing softball in her forties is a credit to Linda’s example.
Linda has experience in all phases of the game-as a player, coach, and manager. She has coached at all levels, from 8u to college and Women’s Major. Aside from experience, she stays on the cutting edge of what leading coaches and their science reveals. She reads and watches every article and video about the advancements in pitching that would increase speed and accuracy, but also prevent injuries to her players/students.
But probably the things that have made Linda so successful in coaching are her true love of the game and her attitude. She does not criticize, but positively encourages all her girls to be the best they can be.

I met Linda Lensch when my 12U team decided that a lefty softball pitcher would be an asset. I was the only southpaw on the team, so Linda was recommended to me as a pitching coach. Little did I know when I met Linda that I would get more than a coach. She was - and is - one of the most knowledgeable people I've met through softball. She also figured out ways to motivate me, and I was a heavy-metal-loving preteen! Linda was my coach, cheerleader and mentor through all of my growth spurts and teenage angst. She taught me more than the game; she showed me how to deal with winning and losing, and how to learn from so many of those experiences. When I became a starting pitcher as a college freshman, she came to many of my games and helped me to further tweak my form and strategy. I played on her women’s travel team for years, where I further witnessed her talent in getting the best out of all her players through her knowledge, encouragement and positive reinforcement. To this day, I have leaned on those memories and used those lessons throughout my business and personal life.
